It is a act of fate that I ended up with my Phoenix designed and made by Yvette.

I was sitting on a bean bag in my rented house that I had been in for 2 weeks. I had ran away from my marriage with the kids and our clothes. We had nothing. Some may crazy but to me it was a new start. I clicked on my new TV and Lester was on four rooms with a statue which took my breath away. I was fairly broke as I had to buy everything from a cork screw (a must) to toilet brush! I sent Yvette an email straight away after googling her. I asked if she could be able to make her table with a twist. I wanted something with colour, something to make me smile and most of all something that was mine, nothing to do with my past.... Lester emailed me back and we chatted. Over the coming weeks we talked allot and I told Lester my story. A couple of months later I met Lester in a car park. My statue was wrapped up but by then I had full trust that i would not be disappointed. He offered to unpack it so I could check it but somehow opening my Phoenix in the middle of a service station seemed wrong.



Having to furnish a full house to provide a home for my kids was hard work and due to the urgency my house was a tv advert for Ikea, the house was nice but impersonal. I commissioned a friends daughter who was a London School of Art to paint some abstract art for me so the house was beginning to look like a home.. Getting back to Yvette. I drove home and asked a neighbour to help me carry in my statue. I opened it slowly and what I saw took my breath away....it was beyond all my expectations even though I had photos all the way. Now it is the first thing everyone sees when the walk into my house. It is truly something I will cherish as will my children. I was so in ore of my statue, which Yvette named the Phoenix, as it signified me coming out of the ashes, that my friend also commissioned a piece. A grey hound she had recently lost..... She has it hanging on the wall in her bedroom.



This will sound corny, however I was at my lowest eb that night and it just made me realise that their is still beauty in life I can see. My statue may be made of glass, mirror and lead but to me it was the beginning of something new. Something I had designed in my head and Yvette had made reality. I will never be able to thank her enough for creating something I will cherish forever.

After find yvette via a family member i decided one of her bespoke pieces as a present for a friend, she was an absolute delight to deal with and went out of her way on every possible occasion to fulfill my requirements and created an amazing piece which i and and friend are absolutely thrilled with and is now a feature piece in her home
